The Defense Logistics Agency, specifically DLA Land and Maritime, has issued a pre-solicitation notice for the procurement of 1,000 window installation kits under NSN 2541-01-626-4650. This requirement is classified under NAICS 336320, Motor Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Equipment Manufacturing, and PSC 2541, Weapons Systems Specific Vehicular Accessories. Performance involves a required delivery schedule of 150 days, with shipments directed to parcel post and freight DODAACs SW3120, W62G2T, and W25G1U.
The procurement includes technical requirements for contractor first article testing as well as ballistic and non-ballistic product control testing. Contract award is restricted to firms possessing a valid "Secret" security classification level prior to award, as the technical data package references a classified drawing document. Additionally, eligible offerors and their proposed sources of supply must maintain an approved U.S./Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification and receive approval from the DLA controlling authority to access export-controlled data. Because the item is manufactured for military use only and is considered non-commercial, the government is not utilizing FAR Part 12 policies.
