Furnish and Install New Transformer

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking a contractor to furnish and Install a New Transformer, Primary Cables, Secondary Cables, Conduits Raised Concrete Foundation, New 800 amp switchboard in the Textile Building located at the USDA-ARS New Orleans, LA. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, machinery, tools, materials, and supervision to furnish and install a new transformer and other services to be identified in the solicitation package. "This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)" These services shall be provided at the USDA, ARS, located in New Orleans, LA. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about May 28, 2008 with all bids being due at 2:00 p.m. June 27, 2008.
