Elevator Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Call Back Service for the Indian Health Service (IHS) Gallup Health Medical Center based in Gallup, NM
The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to TK Elevator Corporation for elevator maintenance and emergency call-back services at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico. The contract includes a seven-month base period starting in June 2026, followed by three 12-month option periods through December 2029. This requirement covers six elevators located in the Main Hospital and Outpatient Clinic buildings. The agency is moving forward with a sole-source award after market research and a previous Sources Sought notice failed to identify capable Indian Economic Enterprises (IEEs) or Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs). A Buy Indian Act waiver has been approved for this procurement. Although the agency has identified a vendor, it will review capability statements from other sources submitted by June 5, 2026, to determine if a competitive solicitation is necessary. The Statement of Work requires compliance with ASME A17.1 Safety Codes and specific hospital safety protocols, including mandatory vaccinations for onsite staff. The IHS is pursuing a noncompetitive award after market research failed to find available Indian Economic Enterprises (IEEs) or Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs). A Buy Indian Act waiver was approved to allow a sole-source award to a large business. The contract structure includes a seven-month base period and three twelve-month option years, running through December 31, 2029.
