General Questions:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, is conducting an Industry Day for the Little Wood River Channel project in Gooding, Idaho. This special notice, identified by solicitation number W912EF26RSN18, seeks industry feedback to support the development of a design-bid-build construction contract. The project involves the rehabilitation and replacement of lava rock canal walls and bridges within a channel approximately 24 feet wide and 8 feet deep. Specific work includes mortar repointing, installation of concrete walls and geotextiles, and the replacement of four vehicle bridges and two pedestrian bridges featuring reinforced concrete decks and abutments.
The government will host virtual one-on-one sessions on June 16 and 17, 2026, to discuss requirements and obtain technical feedback on construction risks, staging areas, and acquisition strategies. Interested parties must submit company details, technical experience narratives, bonding capacity, and business size statements to the primary point of contact, Preston Jones, by the response deadline of June 10, 2026. The scope requires experience with Idaho Transportation Department bridge design standards and reinforced concrete roadway bridges with spans between 24 and 50 feet. The project is classified under NAICS 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and PSC Y1KB, Construction of Canals.
The proposed schedule includes a mandatory in-channel work window from November 16 to March 14, while work outside the channel may occur year-round. Technical documentation and reference materials are provided through three attachments: a Project Labor Agreement Survey, an Industry Day Special Notice, and a disposal site and haul route map. The agency is specifically seeking feedback on the feasibility of completing work within two seasonal windows and the potential for performing abutment work prior to the in-water period. All sessions are limited to five representatives per company and focus on technical dialogue rather than marketing briefings.
