Low Probability of Intercept Altimeter (LPIA) Production and Repair

The Naval Air Systems Command Air Combat Electronics Program intends to negotiate and award a sole-source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N0042126G1003 for the production and repair of Low Probability of Intercept Radar Altimeters (LPIA). This requirement includes engineering, technical, and logistics support, as well as the delivery of LPIA units that conform to established specifications, waveforms, and Radio Frequency characteristics. The contractor will ensure the units remain compatible with antennas and interfaces currently installed on aircraft. BAE Systems is identified as the sole source for this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) because the company is the original developer and manufacturer of the system and retains all necessary data rights and documentation.
