Thank you for your interest in the Kronos CSO and mission and your continued partnership with the United States Space Force.
Thank you for your interest in and submissions to the First Call for the Kronos Family of Systems (FoS) Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) FA8806-26-S-0001. The Kronos Program Office and Space Systems Command greatly appreciate the time, effort, and innovation reflected across the submissions received.
The Government received a high amount of responses for all three (3) AOIs in this first call of the Kronos FoS CSO. As a result of the very high interest, the evaluation process may take longer than originally anticipated.
The Government remains committed to conducting a deliberate evaluation consistent with CSO authorities and will notify offerors directly should additional information, clarification, or next steps be required. We appreciate your patience and understanding as the evaluation team works through this process.
At this time, no additional action is required from offerors unless contacted by the Government.
As stated in the sam.gov post, the Kronos FoS CSO will remain opened until May 11th, 2026. The Government reserves the right to open a second call at a later time in CY2026.
The Government also reserves the right to host a Kronos FoS industry day at a later date.
Thank you for your continued interest in partnering the United States Space Force and the Kronos mission

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Space Systems Command Battle Management C3 office, is conducting a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) for the Kronos Family of Systems under solicitation number FA8806-26-S-0001. This requirement is classified under NAICS 513210 for Software Publishers and PSC AR12 for Space R&D Services; Space Flight, Research and Supporting Activities; Applied Research. There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The performance location is El Segundo, California, and the response deadline is December 15, 2025.
The mission focuses on three Areas of Interest (AOIs) regarding operational command and control and battle management systems for space tasking. The government is currently managing a multi-phase evaluation process, which includes a Phase 1B pitch session intended for virtual technical clarifications on proposed concepts. This phase is tentatively scheduled for the final two weeks of January 2026. Selection for Phase 1B serves as a clarification opportunity rather than a down-select or a guarantee for advancement to Phase 2.
The Kronos FoS CSO will remain open until May 11, 2026, though the government may issue a second call later in the 2026 calendar year or host a future industry day. Rodrigo Laguna serves as the point of contact for this notice. Official documentation includes six attachments, featuring the CSO announcement, a quad chart template, and multiple vendor inquiry logs updated through December 2025.
