View moreStratasys is the only 3D printer found that utilized the Interior Aircraft Certified ULTEM 9085 resin to 3D print material in a large format. In accordance with (IAW) ALC Engineering Specification GEN05000.05A, additive manufactured aircraft parts are mandated to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for flame, smoke, and toxicity standards. ULTEM 9085 is the only thermoplastic which has been certified by the FAA.
The 3D printer being offered MUST be capable of producing large format (building envelope 23.6” x 23.6” x 31.5”) prototypes as part of the additive manufacturing process.
