NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: bioMerieux - Preventative Maintenance

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued special notice FSIS_1165746 indicating its intent to award a sole source contract to bioMérieux, Inc. for laboratory equipment services. The scope includes annual preventive maintenance, verification, and calibration for 13 Media Preparation Units and nine TEMPO Automated Systems located at field laboratories in Athens, Georgia; Normandy, Missouri; and Albany, California. These proprietary systems require maintenance from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians using OEM parts to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards and to maintain regulatory testing accreditations.

The contract is structured with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option years.
