NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: FY22 Environmental Remediation Services Announcement No.: 36C24822Q0108 The Government hereby intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract for the Environmental Remediation of two current sites within the Bay Pines Veterans Administration Healthcare System (BPVAHCS) to Act Safe, LLC., a VETBIZ verified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The period of performance for this effort will be a 12-month base period with four (4) 12-month option periods. The total estimated value is less than $1,758,445.17. This sole source contracting action is in accordance with 41 USC 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S. Code 8127(c), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute). COs may use the non-competitive (sole source) procedures authorized in VAAR 819.7007 or 819.7008 up to $5,000,000.00. This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the options included in this requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the national solid waste recycling measurement initiative. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
