Wind Tarps Installation-Market Research Only

The Department of the Air Force, 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron (1 SOCONS), is conducting market research to identify capable sources for the installation of pre-purchased wind tarps at Building 90538 on Hurlburt Field, Florida. Under solicitation number WindTarpSourcesSought, the selected contractor will provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, and hardware necessary to install the on-site tarps. This project aims to close the sides of the facility to prevent equipment weathering and limit personnel exposure to environmental elements. This requirement is classified under NAICS 238390, Other Building Finishing Contractors, and PSC N071, Installation of Equipment- Furniture, with an SBA (SBA) set-aside designation.

The scope of work requires the contractor to modify the tarps with grommets as needed and install them using corrosion-resistant stainless-steel cables, brackets, and eyelets. To maintain structural integrity, hardware must be installed without drilling into the existing steel girder support system, though installing eyelets into the concrete foundation for lower anchor points is necessary.
