IGF::OT::IGF OTHER FUNCTIONS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DESIGN, BUILD, TEST, AND QUALIFY FOR FLIGHT A NEW HIGH THRUST-TO-POWER THRUSTER ON A CUBESAT. THE NEW ENGINE HAS DIRECT TRACEABILITY TO A LARGER DARPA SOLAR ELECTRIC POWER (SEP) DEMONSTRATION MISSION, WHERE LARGE AND SUSTAINED ORBIT CHANGES ARE POSSIBLE (INCLUDING NON-KEPLERIAN ORBIT MANEUVERS). THE CAT ENGINE IS DESIGNED FOR OPERATIONS AT UP TO 50 WATTS OF INPUT POWER, WHICH CAN BE TESTED ON A 3U CUBESAT WITH FIRING DURATIONS UP TO 10 MINUTES. ONCE TESTED IN LEO, THE ENGINE WILL BE READY FOR SCALING UP AND PLUG-AND-PLAY INTEGRATION ON LARGER SOLAR ELECTRIC PROPULSION (SEP) SPACECRAFT.
