Comanche Park Campground Reconstruction

The Forest Service has issued this combined synopsis/solicitation for the reconstruction of the Comanche Park Campground located in Custer, South Dakota. The project scope involves expanding the campground from 20 to 34 sites, which includes road modifications featuring curve widening, shaping for drainage, and new surfacing. The contractor will relocate and upgrade the Host and Volunteer sites with power, water, and wastewater vaults. Additionally, four new pre-cast vault toilets will be installed to replace five original structures dating from 1965. Water system improvements for this requirement consist of decommissioning the existing pumphouse and installing a new pre-cast concrete treatment building with upgraded plumbing and controls.
