Road Salt

The Department of the Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Drum, has issued solicitation W911S226QA004 for the procurement of an estimated 14,000 net tons of road salt. The material must consist of white irregular granules delivered in bulk using self-unloading tractor-trailer (flow boy) style vehicles; dump trailers and bagged salt are not acceptable. This requirement falls under NAICS code 212319, Other Crushed and Broken Stone Mining and Quarrying, and PSC 9620, Minerals, Natural and Synthetic.

The performance period runs from November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2026, with the government executing orders in 2,000 net ton increments on an as-needed basis. Deliveries are required at Building T-4021 on 1st West Street at Fort Drum, New York, during specified weekday hours. Once a government representative provides email notification for an order, the contractor must begin the response within 48 hours and complete delivery within 10 business days.
