Road Salt

The Department of the Army, MICC-Fort Drum, has issued solicitation W911S226QA004 for the procurement of road salt to be delivered to Fort Drum, New York. The requirement consists of an estimated 14,000 net tons of road salt for the season, which the government will order in 2,000 net ton increments as needed between November 1, 2025, and October 31, 2026. The salt must consist of white irregular granules delivered in bulk using self-unloading tractor-trailer style "flow boy" vehicles; dump trailers and bagged salt are not acceptable. The associated NAICS code is 212319 for Other Crushed and Broken Stone Mining and Quarrying, and the PSC is 9620 for Minerals, Natural and Synthetic.

Deliveries are required at Building T-4021 on 1st West Street at Fort Drum during designated weekday hours. Upon receiving an email order, the vendor must provide an initial response within 48 hours and complete the delivery within 10 business days. All loads must be enclosed or tarped, and any materials containing lumps or clumps will be rejected. Interested parties must submit their responses by the deadline of August 20, 2025.
