The National Institutes of Health, specifically the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), is seeking a contractor to support the NIDA Drug Supply Program by managing a comprehensive inventory of authentic controlled and uncontrolled drug compounds. Under solicitation 75N95024R00003, the contractor will acquire, develop, and manufacture drug dosage forms, including morphine, methadone, and naltrexone pellets, as well as various cannabinoid preparations and nicotine research cigarettes. Key responsibilities include the capability to import compounds from international sources, conduct frequent purity analyses, and maintain secure storage and distribution systems for the research community in compliance with DEA regulations.

The performance of these duties occurs within the United States, with work primarily classified under NAICS 541715 for Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) and PSC AN11 for Health R&D Services, Health Care Services, and Basic Research. Upon the issuance of task orders, the contractor will facilitate the shipment of bulk drugs and chemical compounds to support drug abuse and addiction research.
