PREPARATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF RESEARCH DRUG PRODUCTS

The National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) issued solicitation 75N95024R00003 to support the NIDA Drug Supply Program in providing authentic controlled and uncontrolled drug compounds to the drug abuse research community. This requirement is classified under NAICS 541715 for Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) and PSC AN11 for HEALTH R&D SERVICES; HEALTH CARE SERVICES; BASIC RESEARCH. The contractor will support drug abuse and addiction research by acquiring, analyzing, storing, and shipping bulk drugs, chemical compounds, and drug dosage forms upon the issuance of task orders.

Under this contract, the provider is responsible for acquiring drug compounds and dosage forms, importing materials from international sources, and manufacturing marijuana and nicotine research cigarettes. Specific products include morphine, methadone, and naltrexone pellets in various strengths, along with cannabinoid preparations such as delta-8- and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, cannabidiol, cannabinol, and cannabichromene. Performance requirements include frequent purity analysis and the storage and distribution of materials in accordance with DEA regulations.
